During his sophomore year at Albright College, he spent time with his cousin who was a podiatrist, and was immediately drawn to the profession. 

Subsequently, Dr. DePalma went on to attend Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 1991. He completed his medical residency training at Cooper Hospital in Camden, followed by a 2-year surgical residency at Graduate Health System, City Avenue, and Parkview Hospitals in Philadelphia. After completing his residencies, he returned to New Jersey and founded Burlington County Foot & Ankle Associates in 1995.
